In this scenario, an occupancy sensor is detecting motion and turning on a lighting load (Presence Detection). In addition to this, a push button dimmer is also present in the room to allow the lighting load to be dimmed down, but never turned off by the sensor (Overridden).

Step 1) Configure occupancy detector with appropriate target with the detection mode set to Presence in all appropriate profiles.

Step 2) Configure the push button switch with appropriate target with the function set to Dimmer

Step 3) Configure the following sequence:

This sequence looks for the target to be off. If the lighting load is off, then turn it on. During the delay period, if the light is dimmed down, this prevents the warn step of the sequence from running, additionally preventing the off step from running.

If the light is returned to 100%, the sensor is then allowed to set the lights to the warning level, steps 4 and 5 in the sequence allow for the lights to be brought back to 100% if motion is detected during the warn period.

Step 4) Create a Trigger mapped to the target with the Condition Type of "Sensor" and bind the sequence from Step 3 to it in the profiles where this functionality is required.
