How to Upgrade the Firmware of a Device
Naturally there is a delay between when a product was manufactured to when it gets installed. Plus zencontrol are constantly updating and improving their products including the firmware that runs on them. It is good practice to update the firmware on devices prior to programming them, especially if its a wireless DALI system.
It's wise to update your controllers firmware before proceeding with this.
Note: The Smart Switch Display can only be firmware updated through a wireless DALI system via a Wireless Application Controller. (WAC)
Step 1
Adopt the device in question to the controller/site via the Commissioning APP.
Step 2
A - Navigate to the Site details Menu
B - Select the Settings tab
C - Enable Device Upgrade Preferences which is towards the bottom.
Step 3
There will now be a new menu Device Upgrade Preference visible from within the Control System tab,
From this menu right click a device and select Upgrade Firmware to the desired firmware version.
