Using the smart sensor range in a standalone fashion gives us multiple ways of using the inbuilt Lux level/PE sensor.

This range of sensors is standalone and can only be programmed using the remote control. For this reason, the Lux sensor can be programmed in 2 different ways
  1. The Lux sensor is disabled and only the PIR will operate the relay channel
  2. The Lux sensor can be programmed into dusk mode which links the PIR functionality directly to the lux level detected when pressing the "Set Dusk level" button on the IR remote control. If you set Dusk mode using the IR control, the PIR switches its operating mode between presence (when the natural lighting it's darker than the Dusk level) and absence (when the natural lighting is lighter than the dusk setting)
Unfortunately with this model sensor, you cannot use the Lux/PE component as a Daylight switch only. You must use some form of PIR functionality.

Sensors that can be linked to application controllers such as the zc-pir-iot range may have additional functionality programmed into them using the express app which will be explained in a future knowledgebase article
