Quick answers to the problems installers hit most often in the Web Switch Builder.
Targets and commands

| Use my targets is greyed out | Not signed in, or no targets added | Click My targets, sign in and add targets for the site |
| The target list says No matching targets | The widget needs a different target type (for example a Data slider needs a system variable) | Add a target of that type in My targets |
| A site's groups or devices are missing | Data out of date | My targets > Refresh; check the site in the zencontrol app |
| A controller's address changed | Stored IPs are stale | My targets > Re-sync IPs |

Layout
| Problem | Fix |

| A widget won't fit where I drop it | Free up cells, reduce its span, or use a finer grid; new widgets shrink automatically to fit free space |
| Text is cut off or wraps | Reduce the font size in Edit Layout, widen the widget, or turn on Force uniform text size |
| A label disappears when the button is off | Its Text colour matches the Background colour; pick a contrasting Text colour |
| A button label is unreadable when pressed | Text switches to the theme's background colour on the active state; choose an On or Active colour that contrasts |
| The menu bar covers widgets | Reduce Menu height or the grid rows |
| Navigation buttons and pop-ups do nothing | They only work in Preview |
| Animation settings won't change | Page and pop-up animations are not currently supported |
Files

FAQ
Do I need a zencontrol account? Only for My targets. You can design, theme and preview a layout without signing in.
Does it work offline? No. It runs in the browser and My targets reads from the zencontrol cloud.
Can I design on a phone or tablet? Yes. Small screens get a simplified layout with View, Place, Edit and Page tabs at the bottom and touch dragging. A desktop browser is still the most comfortable for large projects.
Which widgets need a target? Every button, slider and colour or data widget except the Popup button, Navigation button, Label and Image.
How many scenes can a Command button recall? Scene 0 to Scene 13 are listed in the Scene switch type.
Where is the version and changelog? Bottom of the widget toolbox: the version number and What's new.
Is the built-in Help up to date? Parts of it describe older behaviour (for example manual IP fields and popup sub-buttons). These articles reflect v1.123.0.
