Label and Image are display-only widgets: they send no commands and need no target. Use them for headings, instructions, a clock, logos and photos.

Label

Default size: 2 x 1 cells.

SettingOptions
FunctionNone (static text), Show time or Show date
Widget nameThe text shown, when Function is static text
Text colour, Font family, Font styleAs for other widgets
IconOptional icon beside the text, with its own colour
Background colour / opacitySet opacity to 0% for text that floats on the page background

Label settings with Function (1) set to Show time

Use Show time or Show date for a live clock or date on a home page. Edit Layout positions the text and icon inside the widget.

Common uses: room names (Boardroom), section headings (Scenes, Blinds), short instructions, a clock.

Two Labels (1) on a home page: a live clock and a site name

Image

Default size: 2 x 2 cells.

  1. Add an Image widget (Display group).

  2. Under Image settings, click Choose image next to Widget image and pick an image file.

  3. Set Background colour, Border radius and Background opacity as needed.

A placeholder icon shows until an image is chosen.

Common uses: a client or building logo, a photo of the room, a small map, a decorative graphic.

Tips

  • Use transparent PNG logos so the theme background shows around them.

  • Keep image files small; large images increase the project file size.

  • For a whole-page background, use Background image in the Page tab rather than a page-sized Image widget (see Pages and grid settings).

  • For a tappable floor plan, use a Plan view page instead of an Image (see Plan view: interactive floor plans).
